Indulging a lifetime's obsession with things printed, desk-top design has recently crept into the practice. Here is an example of a recent publication, the gleebooks Sydney Writers' Festival Book Catalogue 2008. A 64 page A5 booklet, it listed the 230 or so writers appearing at the 2008 Festival, including books available for purchase, and author biography details.

But I am particularly interested in utilising open-source programs such as googlepages, Wordpress or Blogger to design basic websites & blogs for artists, writers & designers which will give you a web presence without high on-going contract fees. While limited in terms of complexity, using these formats is ideal for promoting exhibitions, shows, & testing the winds of the wide wide world of the web.
